Freeform is seeking a Software Engineer to help build AI-native manufacturing systems integrating software, hardware, and physics for scalable autonomous metal 3D printing factories. You will develop FPGA-based logic, work on high-speed data acquisition, and interface embedded Linux with FPGA components.

The role emphasizes solving hard problems, collaborating across disciplines, and delivering robust, high-performance software solutions in a rapidly growing company environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science.
• Hands-on electrical experience from internships or clubs (FSAE, Baja SAE, solar car, rocket/robotics clubs).
• Experience developing in VHDL or Verilog.

Responsibilities

• Developing new logic components for use on FPGAs.
• Implementing custom algorithms on FPGAs for signal processing.
• Implementing custom controllers on FPGAs.
