Job summary

KBR NSS Intel division is seeking a Fire Safety Specialist for an OCONUS, 100% onsite assignment. You will ensure the safety and reliability of fire protection systems, conduct inspections, and implement proactive measures to meet regulatory requirements.

Your role involves collaboration with teams to assess risks, troubleshoot issues, and enforce compliance with codes and standards in a challenging environment.

Qualifications

• Active SECRET clearance or higher
• 5+ years of experience in fire detection, alarm, control, and suppression systems
• Professional Engineer License or NICET Level III
• Certified in Fire Protection Systems from US jurisdiction
• Willingness to work on-call and rotating shifts

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and inspect fire protection systems.
• Inspect, test, and repair fire alarm wiring and panels.
• Identify hazards and necessary repairs.
• Inspect and service detectors and sprinkler heads.
• Test and maintain wet/dry system components.
• Ensure work complies with relevant codes.
• Interpret design plans and construction drawings.
• Conduct true test smoke detector sensitivity procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance and determine maintenance needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
