Job summary

Watson Custom Tanks seeks a Field Service Welder to work directly with customers, install and repair equipment at site locations, and support on-field testing. This hands-on role requires problem-solving, travel to customer sites, and strong welding experience.

You will read blueprints, perform maintenance, and collaborate with sales, production, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality, durable solutions across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing or technical experience.
• Ability to travel 60–75% (multi‑day trips, short notice)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with preventative maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of overhead cranes, forklifts, and hand tools.
• Welding experience (MIG/TIG, stainless preferred).
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support and customer service
• Install, repair, and maintain equipment at customer locations
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and performance issues
• Perform field testing to ensure proper operation
• Create detailed service reports and recommendations
• Collaborate with sales, production, and engineering teams
• Build strong, professional relationships with customers
