Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician in Charlotte, NC for 1st shift. You will diagnose and repair customer machines onsite, install new equipment, and collaborate with managers to propose new solutions. Travel about 50% is required, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Technical Degree in Electronics preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record required.
• Five years of experience in electrical work within a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Welding or cutting experience is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency with computers or PC applications.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50%
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer machines onsite to diagnose problems and independently recommend solutions.
• Survey customer machines to establish baseline efficiencies and savings; present findings and implement solutions.
• Install new machines according to manufacturer installation standards.
• Collaborate with National Market Manager to propose new machines to customers.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition after repairs.
• Provide monthly reporting of activities and billings to the National Automation Service Manager.
• Attend service trainings to stay current with technologies and offerings.
• Work collaboratively within a team environment with regional technicians.
