Job summary

Bryan Construction Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent in planning, organizing, and supervising all construction activities on-site.

You will mentor carpenters and laborers, coordinate subcontractors, manage safety programs, and help maintain project schedules and daily site operations. The role requires field experience, strong leadership, and OSHA 10 certification, with opportunities to back up the Superintendent and participate in multiple project

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous field construction experience required
• Supervisory experience overseeing trades required
• Experience partnering with subcontractors required
• OSHA 10 certification required

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor Carpenters and Laborers per SOPs.
• Assist with material procurement and site access for optimal workflow.
• Coordinate with the project team to ensure constructability and revisions as needed.
• Support the Superintendent and back up in supervision of field work.
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure work aligns with drawings and schedule.
• Lead safety meetings and enforce safety protocols.
• Create and manage look-ahead schedules and assist with master schedule.
• Attend subcontractor coordination, safety, and project meetings.
• Maintain site logistics, access, and cleanliness.
• Document daily reports of manpower, progress, and delays.
• Assist with permits, licenses, and inspections.
• Support equipment procurement and roll-off logistics.
• Assist with sustainability and stormwater plans.
• Manage punchlist and warranty items with subcontractors.
