Job summary

PG&E in San Jose is seeking an onsite Maintenance/Construction/Operations role under ESC representation. The position involves cost estimating, contract management, simple drafting, field drawings, material handling, licenses and permits, and assisting Senior Field Engineering Technicians and Field Engineers.

The starting hourly wage is $46.65, with rates set by bargaining agreements. This role requires manual dexterity, ability to work in all weather and conditions, and readiness to travel

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Must have a valid California Driver's License.
• Must be able to wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds a minimum of one time a day.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning, scheduling, and cost-control activities under supervision.
• Assists Senior Field Engineering Technicians and Field Engineers.
• Maintains schedule and cost control files.
• Performs schedule and cost data indexing and coding activities under supervision.
• Verifies schedule and cost-input information and edits data as required.
• Checks and corrects completed schedule and cost reports and prepares and distributes reports as necessary.
• Initiates licenses and permits.
• Orders and receives material.
• Performs cost estimating and simple drafting for construction activities.
• Prepares construction notes and field drawings.
• Performs contract management and Purchase Order activities.
