Job summary

Grey Street Consulting, LLC is seeking a Human Resources Classification Support to assist FTC's Human Capital Management Office (HCMO) in Washington, DC. This onsite role requires expert-level federal classification experience and knowledge of conduct standards to support workforce planning and executive resources.

The candidate will develop PD narratives, perform desk audits, and produce classification packages compliant with OPM standards and FTC procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required.
• 10+ years of experience applying federal classification standards and position management principles.
• Experience drafting policies, SOPs, and applying OPM standards.
• Experience classifying positions at all grade levels and job families.
• Experience with SES and SL classification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct classification evaluations for General Schedule, SES, SL, and other federal positions.
• Develop new or revised Position Descriptions (PDs) and related records.
• Conduct desk audits and position management reviews; respond to accretion of duties requests.
• Produce classification packages including PD narratives, OF8 cover sheets, FLSA determinations.
• Support agency-wide PD updates and classification standard application reviews.
