Job summary
Amyris in Emeryville, CA is seeking a Facilities Engineer II to support and optimize critical facility systems on the Emeryville campus. The role collaborates with Operations, Pilot Plant, R&D, Facilities, Maintenance, and Engineering to keep infrastructure safe, reliable, and efficient.
You will provide technical support for site utilities and infrastructure, manage small projects, develop SOPs, and drive continuous improvement for reliability, safety, and cost efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting facility systems, utilities, and infrastructure.
- Ability to develop SOPs, technical reports, and system specifications.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for facility systems, utilities, equipment, and infrastructure across the Emeryville site.
- Work closely with Pilot Plant personnel, critical systems personnel, Project Engineers, R&D personnel, and engineering consultants to support projects.
- Provide on-the-floor technical troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, technical reports, presentations, system specifications, and user requirements.
- Conduct technical reviews and generate risk assessments as needed.
- Monitor compliance with Health and Safety mandates and site safety programs.
- Manage small projects to support site operations and facility functionality.
