Job summary

Snake Oil Cocktail Company is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to execute beverage catering events in San Diego, CA. You will partner with the VP of Operations to plan logistics, prepare equipment and documentation, and lead onsite teams from load-in through breakdown, while developing SOPs for prep, transport, setup, service, inventory and safety.

The role requires 2–4 years in beverage/hospitality operations, strong organizational skills, and the ability to make sound decisions in live

Qualifications

• Experience in beverage catering, hospitality, events, or related operations.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple events, deadlines, teams, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience developing or implementing SOPs, training programs, or operational systems.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace; event-operations, scheduling, or POS systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Event Planning & Coordination: plan and coordinate operational execution with the sales team, managing timelines, staffing plans, equipment needs, and details for seamless events.
• Client, Venue & Vendor Liaison: serve as primary contact for clients, venues, vendors, and internal teams; conduct site visits as needed.
• Event Documentation: prepare and maintain floor plans, timelines, staffing schedules, load-in/load-out plans, and event notes.
• Equipment & Prep Readiness: oversee pull sheet planning, event prep, and equipment readiness for events.
• Onsite Leadership: lead onsite operations, ensure exceptional service and adherence to standards.
• Staff Supervision: supervise leads, bartenders, barbacks, event staff, and support teams during events.
