Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer for our Greenfield, IN facility. This onsite role focuses on high-volume PO entry, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standard procedures in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will process approximately 20 purchase orders daily, use Excel and Outlook for data entry and communication, and collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to keep procurement on track amid ERP implementation and company growth.

Qualifications

• Experience as a buyer or purchasing specialist in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with ERP systems for order entry and inventory control.
• Strong attention to detail for high-volume PO processing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with internal teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Enter large, multi-line purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
• Process ~20 POs per day with up to 100–150 lines each.
• Follow standard work procedures and purchasing guidelines.
• Use Excel for data entry, tracking, and basic analysis.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and suppliers via phone and email.
• Manage purchase requisitions and convert them to POs.
• Support inventory purchasing by aligning orders with stock levels.
• Utilize ERP to enter, update, and manage purchasing data.
• Maintain data accuracy with meticulous attention to detail.
• Meet deadlines while multitasking across orders.
