Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental is hiring an Environmental Specialist for our Lab & Onsite Support Services team. The role supports clients on-site by managing hazardous waste programs and projects under state and federal regulations, with responsibilities in waste preparation, inspections, and regulatory compliance.

The position is based on-site at client locations in the Boston area and reports to the Operations Manager, with potential on-call duties for emergency response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the hazardous-waste industry or relevant military experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and implement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of OSHA regulations and Triumvirate’s Health and Safety practices.
• Prepare chemical and biological waste for shipment, including paperwork.
• Safely handle hazardous waste containers on client sites and load/unload waste.
• Conduct safety equipment and hazardous waste inspections.
• Occasionally perform EHS audits for clients.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients.
• Develop regulatory expertise (RCRA, DOT, OSHA).
• Conduct spill response and cleanup assessments.
• Rotating on-call responsibilities for Emergency Response (optional).
