Job summary

WM in Martinez, CA is seeking a skilled onsite coordinator to manage storage, transport and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes at client sites. You will supervise onsite personnel, ensure regulatory compliance, and act as liaison between client and vendors to resolve issues.

The role emphasizes safety culture, required training, and adapting to varying business needs. Strong knowledge of RCRA/DOT regulations and HAZWOPER certification preferred; valid driver license expected.

Qualifications

• Requires 40-hour HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Manifesting and profiling hazardous and non-hazardous waste experience required upon hire.
• RCRA and DOT regulatory compliance experience upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics for transportation of hazardous waste, universal waste and non-hazardous waste from client site.
• Ensure compliance with client and government regulations by performing inspections and reporting.
• Assist with client and vendor financial obligations including invoicing, reporting and contracts.
• Promote culture of safety by ensuring site personnel are trained to perform duties and comply with safety regulations.
• Quarterly training required.
