Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to advance air, water, and waste compliance programs across manufacturing sites, driving sustainable solutions and reducing environmental risk.

You will lead a team of contract specialists, work with plant management, regulators, and internal stakeholders to implement programs, and promote continuous improvement. This is an onsite role with travel <25% and relocation benefits available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 4 years’ experience in Environmental Engineering with an understanding of manufacturing.
• Experience across environmental programs (air, water, waste) or across locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop/maintain environmental stewardship program strategies.
• Manage contract chemical and/or waste management professionals.
• Collaborate with plant management, regulators, and project teams to implement improvements.
