Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Project Manager with engineering experience for the Value Engineering Team within the Engineering and Construction unit. The role focuses on managing engineering projects from design through implementation impacting solar and BESS portfolios, on-site with per diem provided.

Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, coordinating with suppliers, and delivering robust project planning, risk management, and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience managing engineering projects from design to implementation.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage scope, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects from conceptual design through commissioning and implementation.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to identify product improvements or cost reduction ideas.
• Support implementation by providing technical input and project feasibility assessments.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation activities.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project deliverables.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and partner communications.
• Attend industry conferences and network with suppliers and vendors.
• Contribute to process improvements and best practices for project delivery.
