Job summary

Actalent seeks an Engineering Technician I Laboratory Technician for a contract role in Syracuse, NY. The position supports product development, QA, and testing activities in a hands-on lab environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Entry-level role with ~1 year lab/manufacturing experience is ideal.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and laboratory equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Teams).
• Live within commuting distance of Syracuse, NY.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and execution of electrical, lighting, and mechanical tests following procedures.
• Operate basic lab equipment under supervision of engineers and senior technicians.
• Collect and organize test data with accuracy and integrity.
• Verify test setups and equipment readiness prior to testing.
• Maintain a safe, clean lab environment and follow safety standards.
• Complete test logs and reports to support quality activities.
• Document results and communicate status to engineers and stakeholders.
• Update test procedures and related documentation as directed.
