Job summary

TekWissen is supporting a global automotive leader for an Engine Calibration Engineer on a 12‑month onsite assignment in the United States. The role focuses on calibration of engine controls for North America and global markets, with emphasis on meeting emissions, fuel economy, and drivability targets.

The candidate will prepare calibration schedules, collect data, run analyses, and produce technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline.
• Experience in engine calibration (1+ years).
• Excellent driving record.
• Understanding of internal combustion engine theory/practice.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• ExperienceInvestigating technical issues and creating effective technical solutions.
• Emission or OBD calibration experience in conventional or hybrid powertrains.
• Experience with Model-Based Design or calibration processes.
• Experience with Python, VBA, etc.
• Proficiency in project management tools.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/C/C++.
• Experience working in a culturally diverse environment.
• Understanding of Emission/OBD regulations and other markets.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate engine controls for North America and global markets.
• Meet regulations and performance targets (emission, fuel economy, power, drivability, OBD).
• Prepare and manage calibration and resource schedule to meet deadlines.
• Test preparation, data collection, analysis, and reporting on a regular basis.
• Build relationships with calibration technician group.
• Conduct vehicle testing and development under extreme environmental conditions.
• Complete internal training and verify software logic and values.
