Job summary

Lilly is hiring an Emergency Response (ER) Specialist – HSE to lead the onsite Emergency Response Team as a shift lead and Incident Commander for a 24/7 operation. The role interfaces with medical, EHS, security, and local agencies to respond to emergencies and support training, inspections, and program delivery.

Required are EMT-B or higher, Hazardous Materials Technician, and Incident Command certifications, with past experience across multiple crews.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of career or full-time emergency response experience across multiple crews.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (no sponsorship).
• EMT-B or higher certification, Hazardous Materials Technician, and Incident Command training as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite Incident Commander for hazardous materials events and provide medical response coverage.
• Support site Emergency Response Procedures and hazard-specific annexes.
• Assist in pre-emergency planning, drills, and incident documentation.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, supplies, and facilities to ensure readiness.
• Collaborate with HSE teammates on cross-functional initiatives and training.
