Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Columbia, SC is seeking an experienced Emergency Preparedness Manager to lead the site's Emergency Preparedness Program, ensuring NRC license compliance and readiness across prevention, response, and recovery.

You will report to the Director of EHS, lead drills and exercises, coordinate with regulatory agencies and internal teams, and maintain training records while driving continuous improvement and business continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, Emergency Management, Fire Science, Environmental Science, Nuclear Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of emergency preparedness, emergency response, EHS, operations, military emergency management, fire service leadership, or nuclear operations.
• 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of emergency management principles, incident command systems, and emergency response planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Emergency Preparedness Program at the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility.
• Maintain the Site Emergency Plan and regulatory compliance.
• Provide emergency response leadership during drills, inspections, and events.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Develop metrics, audits, and management reporting.
• Lead coordination with local authorities and emergency services.
