Job summary

BlazerJobs is seeking a qualified School Social Worker for two elementary schools and a preschool classroom in Michigan. This full-time, onsite contract runs from late August through mid-May, totaling 37.5 hours per week and supporting the social, emotional, and academic growth of about 40 students.

You will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to implement interventions, provide counseling, and maintain compliant records.

Qualifications

• MSW with Michigan School Social Worker eligibility.
• Experience in elementary/preschool school settings.
• Strong assessment, intervention and crisis response skills.
• Ability to partner with teachers, administrators and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver social work services addressing emotional, behavioral, and social needs.
• Develop and implement intervention plans with educational teams.
• Provide individual and group counseling as needed.
• Serve as liaison between schools, families and community resources.
• Maintain records in line with district guidelines.
