Trident Consulting is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a one-year contract position in Burlington, MA. The role focuses on design, development, test, and documentation of new and existing products, with hands-on support for prototype builds and lab operations.

The candidate will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing on life-cycle issues, warranty/quality improvements, and cost reductions, while maintaining documentation packages and lab facilities.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical/Computer Engineering or similar).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in engineering support with emphasis on PCB design, prototyping, test fixture design and documentation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electromechanical hardware.
• Experience with Schematics, BOMs, and Assembly Drawings.
• Experience with electronic test equipment, soldering equipment, and basic hand tools.
• Proficient in hand soldering (SMT/Thru-hole) and building cable assemblies; soldering cert is a plus.
• Experience troubleshooting systems/assemblies; experience in creating and maintaining BOMs.
• Development and maintenance of mechanical/electrical documentation package.
• Basic machining skills.
• Experience with MS Office; SolidWorks, OrCAD, Arena PLM or Altium is a plus.
• Optics handling is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; self-starter; well organized.

• Build electromechanical test fixtures and assembly aides for use in manufacturing.
• Assist engineering in sustaining activities to address life cycle issues, continuous improvement, reliability, and cost reductions.
• Support PCB and cable designs
