Job summary

ITAC seeks an Electrical Engineer to provide electrical discipline support for construction, installation, debugging, and startup of equipment and automated systems on a manufacturing floor. The role emphasizes hands-on work on the shop floor and collaboration with internal and contract teams.

Responsibilities include safety, project planning, and interface with system integrators to deliver fully integrated equipment on time and within budgets.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent; 5+ years of manufacturing or related experience.
• Knowledge of power systems for 480VAC and below.
• Translates engineering solutions to requirements and facilitates electrical troubleshooting.
• Hands-on work on manufacturing floor with strong safety focus.
• Works with IT, Mechanical, and Process engineering to deliver solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and use project plans and timelines to achieve project goals without sacrificing safety or quality.
• Safety: ensure team training, safety plans, and incident reporting.
• Understand processes and equipment functions within area of responsibility.
• Analyze and improve installation practices to boost efficiency and schedules.
• Interface with system integrators and machine builders to deliver integrated equipment on time and budget.
• Hands-on troubleshooting; direct technicians to replace defective components when needed.
• Provide training on installation procedures for internal and external teams.
• Review and update installation checklists, drawings, and machine specs.
• Direct technicians and modify documentation for production equipment.
• Procure materials and assess existing equipment for compatibility with new plans.
• Modify software for process equipment control and control systems.
