Job summary

ITAC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide electrical discipline support in construction, installation, debug, and startup of equipment and automated systems on a 1-2 year on-site assignment with a Wilmington, NC client. The role emphasizes hands-on work on the manufacturing floor and coordinating with internal and external teams.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in manufacturing, strong knowledge of 480VAC power systems, and the ability to translate

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum 5+ years of manufacturing or related experience.
• Knowledge of power systems for 480VAC and below
• Interprets electrical drawings and schematics to troubleshoot
• Ability to work hands-on with the equipment
• Strong teamwork and safety focus

Responsibilities

• Develop and use project plans and timelines to achieve project goals while maintaining safety, quality and IP protection.
• Safety – ensure the project team has safety training and all safety requirements are met.
• Interface with external system integrators and machine builders to deliver fully integrated process equipment on-time and on-budget.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and directing engineering techs and trades as needed.
• Provide training on installation procedures for successful execution.
• Review and modify installation checklists, machine part lists, drawings, and schedules.
• Procure and expedite materials for new or modified equipment.
• Modify software programs used for process equipment control.
• Understand and set up machine controls for I/O and sequencing.
• Assist in developing integrated industrial control systems for new equipment.
