Job summary

This role will be involved in design, installation, commissioning, startup, and ongoing optimization of electrical and automation systems on the manufacturing floor.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on electrical engineering, automation, and controls experience within food and beverage manufacturing and capital project delivery from concept through startup, with a focus on reliability, safety, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering, controls or automation experience in manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with electrical systems and production equipment on the factory floor.
• Experience supporting capital projects from concept through startup.
• Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work with Operations and Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of capital projects supporting production and packaging.
• Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, equipment specifications and implementation plans.
• Provide hands-on electrical and controls engineering throughout project design, installation, commissioning, and startup.
• Evaluate new equipment and technologies and ensure electrical requirements are incorporated into specs.
• Work directly with OEMs, vendors, contractors, integrators, and partners while owning technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain control narratives, drawings, and related technical documentation.
