Job summary
Wood is seeking an Instrument, Electrical, & Controls Project Engineer to join its Operations Americas team. This on-site role is based in northern West Virginia near Parkersburg, supporting chemical plant capital projects and electrical/controls design and execution.
You will lead safety and project scopes, develop estimates, coordinate front-end work, and provide engineering support during maintenance outages, drawing on experience with automation systems and electrical equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years industry experience.
- Experience in electrical controls automation and maintenance activities for power distribution equipment.
- Knowledge of older DCS systems and automation/control standards.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for safety, quality, and ethics on site.
- Develop and execute safety, improvement and obsolescence plans for control and electrical equipment.
- Lead front-end work and design phase for capital projects.
