Job summary

Sirius Staffing in West Monroe, LA is seeking two experienced Distribution Designer III professionals for a long-term onsite contract. You will work with customers to determine electrical service needs and design distribution projects for residential and commercial development, including overhead and underground extensions.

The role requires knowledge of utility distribution design, drafting, GIS/GDT systems, and strong project coordination.

Qualifications

Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical diploma in a related technical field.
Relevant experience in electric utility distribution design, electric distribution construction, or a closely related field.
Knowledge of electric utility distribution systems and field construction practices.
Ability to read, interpret, and prepare technical drawings and construction documentation.
Ability to work onsite in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple electric distribution projects supporting new residential and commercial customers.
Meet directly with customers to determine electrical service requirements and project needs.
Design overhead and underground electric distribution line extensions.
Develop designs for installation, replacement, relocation, and removal of distribution facilities.
Prepare project estimates, construction drawings, and supporting design documentation.
Coordinate project schedules and construction commitments.
Lead and participate in pre-design and pre-construction meetings with teams, customers, contractors, and stakeholders.
Perform engineering and design calculations supporting distribution planning and corrective-action projects.
Apply established distribution design standards and field practices.
Provide technical support and guidance to local operations personnel.
Assist with contractor compliance related to distribution design standards and construction practices.
Coordinate with construction and field personnel to ensure accurate and efficient project completion.
Assist Right-of-Way personnel with permits, easements, and ROW documentation.
Maintain accurate project drawings, records, estimates, and supporting documentation.
