Actalent in Goleta, CA is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support environmental compliance, occupational health, and workplace safety initiatives in a fast-paced production environment.

The role entails developing and delivering EHS programs, conducting inspections and training, and collaborating with internal stakeholders across multiple facilities. This onsite contract position offers hands-on safety leadership in a manufacturing setting.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) experience.
• Knowledge of EPA regulations.
• Knowledge of Cal/OSHA regulations.
• Knowledge of ANSI standards.
• Knowledge of industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and occupational safety principles.
• Experience conducting EHS inspections, audits, or incident investigations.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between local facilities.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, manage, implement, and continuously improve environmental, health, and safety programs.
• Support environmental compliance, occupational health, and workplace safety initiatives.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
• Investigate workplace injuries, incidents, and near misses.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze safety performance metrics and identify trends for continuous improvement.
• Support injury reduction, sustainability, and environmental initiatives.
• Serve as EHS point of contact for assigned areas.
• Lead and participate in safety committees and trainings.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors.
• Interpret and apply OSHA, EPA, ANSI regulations and standards.
