Job summary

NYCOA in Manchester, NH is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to join our onsite team. You will develop and oversee environmental, health, and safety programs with a strong focus on compliance and practical risk management.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field, 2+ years of experience, and proficiency with OSHA, EPA and state regulations. You will train staff, conduct audits, prepare reports for agencies, and advise leadership on improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, health, safety or chemical engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in the EHS field required.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NHDES, CWA, CAA, RCRA and other regs required.
• Professional certification in EHS (CSP, ASP, CHMM or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor environmental, health and safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Draft standard operating procedures, guidance documents, and deliver training.
• Assist with audits, inspections, and propose corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare reports for and interact with regulatory agencies.
• Advise senior management on matters of EHS.
