Job summary

The Wonderful Citrus facility in Gloucester City, NJ is hiring a Safety Specialist for Environmental, Health & Safety Operations. This on-site, second-shift role focuses on reducing incident rates and health exposures, developing safety procedures, and coordinating with the Safety Manager and plant staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma (AA/AS preferred), MS Office proficiency, OSHA/CALOSHA knowledge, and strong communication skills. Willingness to work 7-day operations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required (AA/AS preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Understanding of packinghouse/warehouse processes and flow operations.
• Strong observational and analytical skills.
• Effective verbal and written communications.

Responsibilities

• Responds to and investigates work-related injuries.
• Guides plant personnel on safety and health opportunities.
• Reviews incident trends and recommends corrections.
• Supports safety training programs and certification processes.
• Monitors OSHA/CALOSHA regulations and safety procedures.
• Investigates incidents with cross-functional teams to identify root causes.
