Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Consultant for our Advisory Services team in the Midwest. The role is onsite at assigned clients in Brighton, MI, focusing on EH&S assessments, program development, and client support across higher education, life sciences, healthcare, and industrial sectors.

You will lead routine EH&S tasks, trainings, and reporting, collaborating with a regional director and client personnel to improve safety outcomes and regulatory

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in an EH&S capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or related scientific field.
• Excellent communication & customer service skills.
• Detail orientation.
• Problem solver with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Possess valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Measure occupational and environmental hazards (noise, ergonomics) using calibrated equipment or samples.
• Assess effectiveness of engineered control systems (e.g., fume hoods).
• Inspect machinery and equipment (lifting devices, guards, scaffolding).
• Conduct workplace safety inspections and evaluate PPE use.
• Identify hazards and help implement control measures (ventilation, etc.).
• Investigate accidents and injuries, identifying causes and remedial actions.
• Communicate safety issues to client personnel and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct routine EH&S trainings (new employee orientation, hazard communication, forklift training).
• Write reports and log information on OSHA forms.
• Assist in developing health and safety policies, procedures, and manuals.
