Job summary

UCHealth in Colorado Springs seeks an EEG Technologist to perform EEGs in outpatient settings and at the bedside. The role requires electrode placement per the 10-20 system, routine EEG testing, patient education, and careful documentation.

You will monitor patient condition, identify artifacts, and prepare results for physicians in a fast-paced, on-site environment. Required education includes a HS diploma or GED, with a preference for an Associate's degree.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred.
• Meets ABRET's requirements for entry pathways to become a registered EEG technologist.
• BLS through AHA or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date; card valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Applies patient electrodes in accordance to the International 10-20 system.
• Performs routine EEG testing; reviews patient histories and educates patients about procedures.
• Monitors, notates, and analyzes ongoing clinical and technical changes; adjusts testing procedures for individual sessions.
• Monitors and documents patient condition and reports any adverse reactions; identifies and eliminates artifacts.
• Edits and forwards results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation; completes all paperwork.
