Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems at our Minden, LA site supporting defense and aerospace operations.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose complex equipment issues, and work with production and engineering teams to keep plant operations safe, efficient, and compliant in a high-hazard environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 7+ years of direct industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair across rotating equipment, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, hydraulic and production machinery.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V, including motors, starters, VFDs, and conduit/wiring.
• Basic understanding of PLCs and control systems; assist in troubleshooting with external controls support.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance and keeping accurate maintenance records.
• Strong problem-solving skills; able to work independently or in a fast-paced team in a hazardous setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems and production machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems up to 480V, including motors, starters, and VFDs.
• Support basic controls and PLC troubleshooting with guidance; coordinate with controls resources.
• Execute preventive/predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
• Install, align, and commission new equipment and components with proper integration.
• Maintain and repair facility utilities (air, HVAC, boilers, plumbing) and building systems.
• Enforce safety procedures, lock-out/tag-out, material handling, and PPE in a high-hazard environment.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to troubleshoot issues in real time during operations.
