Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Minden, LA, seeks an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain mechanical, electrical, and control systems for a DoD/OSHA regulated operation. You will troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of direct experience in industrial maintenance
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills on rotating equipment, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, hydraulic and production machinery
• Working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V, including motors, starters, VFDs, and ability to run conduit/wiring
• Basic understanding of PLCs and control systems, including I/O checks and external controls support
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance and maintaining maintenance records
• Ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced, high-hazard environment

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems including rotating equipment, gearboxes, pumps, and production machinery
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems up to 480V including motors, starters, and VFDs
• Support basic PLC troubleshooting with guidance and coordinate with controls resources
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance from the maintenance system to minimize downtime
• Install, align, and commission new equipment and components
• Maintain and repair facility utilities and infrastructure (air, HVAC, boilers, plumbing)
• Follow safety procedures including lock-out/tag-out and PPE in a high-hazard environment
• Collaborate with production and engineering to troubleshoot real-time issues during operations
