Collins Aerospace’s MANTA Software Department seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement real-time embedded software for GPS receivers and PNT products used in military applications. You will analyze requirements, perform design, coding, integration, and documentation, and work on target hardware.

Based in Cedar Rapids, this onsite role requires DoD clearance eligibility; collaborate with cross-functional teams, use Agile processes, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement real-time embedded software for GPS receivers and PNT products.
• Perform requirements analysis, software design, coding, integration, verification, and documentation.
• Integrate software onto target hardware and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Support field demonstrations, system integration efforts, and product deployment activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Apply Agile methodologies to software development processes for real-time embedded hardware/software applications.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
