Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an onsite DevOps Engineer to join a government consulting firm based in Springfield, VA. The role focuses on building secure cloud platforms to support the intelligence community. An active TS/SCI CI-Poly clearance is required.

Responsibilities include implementing IaC, managing CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable deployments. Candidates should have strong Linux, networking, and cloud skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience or 12+ years with an Associate’s degree.
• Strong experience with AWS GovCloud/C2S, CI/CD tools, and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in Linux systems, networking, and system administration.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Hands-on OS installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Ability to resolve complex system issues and communicate/escalate effectively.
• Must hold an active US Government TS/SCI CI Poly clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build, automate, and maintain secure AWS (C2S/GovCloud) cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to support scalable and repeatable environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across systems, applications, and network layers.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to streamline deployments.
• Monitor system health and performance using CloudWatch and Kibana.
