Job summary

Jefferson Solutions Group seeks a Systems Administrator to support the USAF 505th Test and Training Group. This onsite role at Hurlburt Field, Florida involves upgrading, configuring, testing, maintaining and turning in data and video networks, with emphasis on wireless, fiber, coaxial, copper, and baseband systems.

Responsibilities include ensuring uptime, installing and patching systems, backups, and coordinating with users and network personnel.

Qualifications

• Top Secret (TS) security clearance w/SCI eligibility.
• Must have CompTIA Security Plus certificate or equivalent.
• Must have experience with IT concepts, practices, and procedures as certified IAW DoD 8570.01-M IAT II and industry standards

Responsibilities

• Ensure classified and unclassified servers and databases, workstations, peripherals, communications devices, and software are on-line and available
• Install, configure and maintain all C2 systems, servers and workstations as required.
• Load system application software and patches as required
• Perform backup of systems
• Manage user computer software configurations and tactical local area network systems.
• Coordinate with users, workgroup managers, and communications focal point personnel to resolve computer software and hardware problems
• Coordinate with communications focal point personnel for changes to computers, servers, or local area networks systems on systems network
• Provide systems administration in support of all operations, exercises as necessary throughout the year
• Troubleshoot network and system issues, monitor active network and server infrastructure
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and administer network security measures to prevent system interruptions or breaches
• Document all technical procedures and user guides
• Ensure and maintain a 98% uptime
• Ensure AOC systems are available 2 days prior to course execution or as directed
