Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group seeks a Project Engineer, Decarbonization, to support energy-efficiency retrofit projects across the fleet. You will collaborate with ship crews and shore teams, perform technical evaluation, data gathering, and support pilot-to-scale deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field; energy systems a plus.
• 3+ years in maritime engineering or energy efficiency projects.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with data analysis experience.
• Familiar with marine energy standards (ISO 50001) and decarbonization tech.
• Experience supporting pilot projects and maritime R&D activities.
• Proficiency with Excel and CAD; Python a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex technical information clearly.
• Organizational, analytical, and multi‑tasking capabilities.
• Collaborative, proactive working style.

Responsibilities

• Supports evaluation of energy efficiency and decarbonization technologies, including feasibility studies and pilots.
• Coordinates planning, scheduling, and execution from pilot to scale across teams.
• Gathers and analyzes operational data to support validation and decision making.
• Prepares technical reports, test plans, dashboards, and documentation.
• Supports planning and execution of retrofit projects on ships and shore facilities.
• Tracks readiness criteria and ensures safety and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates with ship crews, shore teams, vendors, and partners.
• Documents learnings and contributes to replication and scaling.
