Nash UNC Health Care in Nash County, NC seeks a Sterile Processing/Central Service technician to join our NICHE team. You will decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, and distribute reusable medical devices, ensuring compliance with IFUs and safety standards.

The role requires 0-1 year of experience and a GED or high school diploma, plus current CRCST or equivalent certification. Work is on-site with day shifts; 40 hours weekly.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 year of Sterile Processing or Central Service experience in a healthcare setting.
• Current certification from an accredited credentialing organization: HSPA (CRCST) or CIS/CER, or CBSPD.

Mansioni

• Performs decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable medical devices.
• Operates decontamination equipment and ensures workflow follows infection prevention standards.
• Inspects instruments for cleanliness and integrity and identifies damaged items for repair or replacement.
• Assembles instrument trays and labeling per IFU and policy; maintains traceability of instruments and loaner sets.
• Performs routine operational checks on reprocessing equipment and participates in quality assurance activities.
