Job summary

Advanced Systems Group LLC is seeking a Data Operations Engineer to join the client’s Business Operations data team in New York City. The role focuses on Airtable systems, API integration maintenance, and cross-source data reliability, rather than traditional software engineering.

You’ll test, maintain, and troubleshoot data flows with mentorship from the Senior Data Operations Architect and a full tech team behind you.

Qualifications

Experience with data engineering, SQL, data modeling, or cloud data platforms.
Hands-on experience building and maintaining Airtable systems at scale (multi-base, relational, dashboards).
Experience integrating Airtable or similar tools with other systems via API.
Strong troubleshooting skills; you enjoy testing, breaking, and fixing connections.
Curiosity about how businesses work and data across financial and operational domains.
Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
Able to work independently and solve moderately complex problems with general guidance.

Responsibilities

Consolidate and manage the team’s Airtable environment.
Maintain and troubleshoot API connections between systems like Salesforce, Coupa, and internal AWS finance tools.
Assist with automated reporting by tying financial, moderation, and production data to one central identifier (Stream ID).
Build and support dashboards and executive reports to track efficiency and performance.
Test and validate new integrations before launch and proactively fix issues.
Be the onsite go-to person in NYC for daily support and escalate complex issues.
Keep data standards and system documentation up to date as we scale.
