Job summary

CCCI, a Velociti company, seeks an experienced Project Manager to own complex telecommunications, structured cabling, and data center infrastructure projects from kickoff to completion. You’ll coordinate field teams, manage budgets, schedules, and safety, ensuring high standards and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include developing plans, reviewing documents, and driving execution while building strong client relationships and identifying future opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5 years of project coordination or project management experience in telecommunications, structured cabling, low-voltage, commercial construction, or a related environment.
• Experience managing commercial structured cabling, telecommunications, low-voltage, or data center infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of copper, fiber optic, structured cabling, and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Experience developing estimates, labor forecasts, schedules, and budgets.
• Working knowledge of contracts, change orders, scope management, and project financial controls.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Own the Project Lifecycle: manage multiple telecommunications, structured cabling, and data center infrastructure projects from initiation through closeout.
• Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, labor estimates, and material takeoffs.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
• Keep projects moving forward while balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer expectations.
• Be the Customer's Go-To Partner: serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle and build strong relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Lead project meetings and provide clear, proactive communication.
• Identify opportunities for follow-on work and communicate potential business opportunities to company leadership.
• Drive Field Execution: coordinate manpower, resources, materials, and schedules with Project Superintendents and Foremen.
• Monitor field productivity, quality, safety, and project milestones.
• Support deployments involving copper, fiber optic, MPO/MTP systems, fusion splicing, backbone infrastructure, and other low-voltage systems.
• Verify BOMs, pathway capacity, containment systems, and equipment requirements before work begins.
• Manage the Business Side of the Project: track budgets, labor and material costs, forecasts, invoicing, and financial performance.
• Manage change orders and ensure project scope is documented.
• Identify risks, address issues early, and elevate significant concerns when needed.
• Monitor project profitability and overall performance.
• Finish Strong: review daily reports, schedules, testing documentation, project records, and closeout packages.
• Ensure projects meet customer specifications, contractual requirements, applicable codes, and CCCI quality standards.
• Help create a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
