Job summary

ABB is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead data center projects onsite in the US. You will drive execution, manage teams, and ensure delivery of contracted results while aligning with procedures and standards.

Required are 8+ years of complex project experience, strong communication, and travel readiness (10-20%). Preferred PMP/Lean Six Sigma certifications and experience with Monday.com and electrical power systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with minimum 8 years experience managing complex technical and/or system implementation projects.
• Direct experience in data centers, critical facilities, or heavy industrial power distribution environments with a strong understanding of electrical power systems.
• Proven track record managing scope, schedule, cost, risk, and stakeholders for high value large scale projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to both technical and executive audiences.
• Preferred Experience Includes: Engineering Degree - Lean Six Sigma and/or PMP Certifications - Proficiency in project management tools and methodology such as Monday.com - Low Voltage A/C or Synchronous Motor experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project sites (10-20% travel).
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
• Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.
• Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.
• Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.
