Job summary

Actalent in Columbus, OH seeks a Data Center Project Engineer to support onsite construction activities on a major data center project. The role requires a four-year engineering or construction degree, 3+ years of project engineer experience in a contractor setting, and willingness to travel up to 70%.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering or construction-related degree or equivalent training.
• 3+ years of working project engineer experience in a contracting environment.
• Experience supporting large industrial, manufacturing, mission-critical, or data center construction projects.
• Ability to manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, meeting minutes, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project engineering activities in line with contract requirements and the overall construction schedule.
• Support construction planning, design interpretation, and application of appropriate construction methods.
• Process and track RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, meeting minutes, and other project documentation.
• Assist with constructability reviews and the resolution and documentation of design conflicts.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, project management, field teams, architects, engineers, and client representatives.
• Maintain project engineering procedures, material status reports, and work-control procurement, project controls reporting, forecasting, and resource coordination.
• Help identify and mitigate project risks that could affect schedule, quality, cost, or execution.
• Participate in A/E, client, subcontractor, and project management meetings.
• Provide technical support to onsite construction teams and help resolve field-related issues.
