Job summary

Google LLC is hiring a Facilities Technician for its data centers in the United States. The role focuses on operating, monitoring, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems, including generators, UPS, and power distribution, with a strong emphasis on reliability and safety.

Onsite work only, with non-standard hours and rotating shifts. The position offers a competitive salary range, a 15% bonus target, equity, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of Electrical, Mechanical/HVAC, or Controls/Automation experience in an industrial/commercial environment.
• Experience in Electrical Infrastructure Systems, Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Systems, Mechanical Infrastructure Systems, Generators, Mechanical Maintenance, Mechanical Testing, Electrical Safety, Mission Critical Systems, Control Panels, Controllers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use OSHA PPE as required.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and differing shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and support electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems in data centers.
• Inspect, maintain and repair data center components to ensure reliability and safety.
• Support uptime, outages management, and monitor systems in emergency situations.
• Coordinate with contractors for maintenance or upgrades on data center facilities.
