Job summary

Referentia Systems, Inc. is seeking a Cyber Analyst, Midlevel to execute cyber risk assessments for DoD systems in support of the Air Force's information assurance program. The role is onsite in Hampton, VA, with emphasis on risk analysis, mitigations, and policy guidance.

The candidate should have 5+ years in cyber risk assessment, DoD/AFNET experience, and an active DoD clearance. Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Systems required.
• IAM Level II Certification required.
• At least 5 years of cyber risk assessment experience.
• Familiarization with NIST SP 800-53, AFI 17-130 and DODI 8510.01.
• Strong planning, organization and analytical skills; detail oriented.
• Active DoD security clearance required.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Determines system vulnerabilities and residual risk based on artifacts, interviews, and evaluation of current state.
• Evaluates effectiveness of proposed mitigations.
• Contributes to recommendations on technical/policy changes to mitigate cybersecurity risk.
• Works with Cyber Analysts, SMEs, and SCARs to ensure analyses meet time/quality standards.
• Supports security requirements elicitation for projects within authorization boundary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
