Job summary

Nathan Kunes Incorporated (NKI) is seeking a San Diego-based Cryptographic Test Engineer & Network Engineer for a 100% onsite, full-time role following a 9/80 schedule at NWIC Topside. The role includes security testing of cryptographic network systems and collaboration with Navy users.

Required: Bachelor's in CS/IS, 2+ years' experience, DoD security clearance, and familiarity with networking, Linux, cryptographic devices, PKI, VPN/SSH, and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience.
• Experience with networking, Linux, cryptographic devices, PKI concepts.
• Active DoD security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Perform configuration and setup of cryptographic devices in a variety of network systems and environments.
• Perform functional and performance testing of devices to determine suitability with operational military capabilities.
• Develop test reports.
• Answer technical queries and assist Navy users.
• Create/Maintain documentation of system configuration.
