Job summary

United Airlines is seeking a Project Manager II in Corporate Real Estate Planning and Development to lead onsite facility and infrastructure projects at Chicago O’Hare. The role manages multiple projects from planning through activation, ensuring compliance with budget and schedule.

You'll collaborate with airport authorities and internal customers, oversee design and construction activities, and maintain governance artifacts and project reporting. Onsite at ORD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3+ years planning, design (engineering or architecture) and/or construction experience
• Demonstrated experience managing projects
• Understanding of best practices of project management
• Knowledge of design and construction management process and vernacular
• Experience in construction safety and capital improvement planning for facilities

Responsibilities

• Leads successful projects by combining strategic thinking, business acumen and technical experience
• Creates project justifications through stakeholder engagement, communication and option development
• Manages vendor staff support overseeing project construction and administration
• Meets project metrics within approved business case cost and scope
• Uses CRE project tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Oracle and others as defined by need
