Job summary

The Cancer Center of Kansas (CCK) in Wichita, KS is seeking a full-time, on-site Coding Specialist to join our team. The role involves medical record coding, assigning ICD-10 and CPT codes, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and network standards.

Work hours are Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with no holidays, weekends, or on-call. Ideal candidates hold a CPC-A, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of coding experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum CPC-A certification required.
• Minimum of one year of coding medical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Abstract relevant clinical information and assign ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Identify principal and secondary diagnoses with accuracy.
• Review and complete charges in PMS and Practice Management System.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and comply with network policies.
• Attend required meetings and stay current on compliance requirements.
