Job summary

Correctional Healthcare Partners (CHP Health) seeks a Psychiatrist to deliver high-quality mental health care in California correctional facilities. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, conduct psychiatric assessments, and implement treatment plans to improve patient well-being.

The role is 100% onsite across Auburn and Roseville facilities, with travel between sites required. California license and DEA active are essential, board certification preferred.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required; board certification preferred.
• Valid California medical license and active DEA.
• Proficiency in psychopharmacology.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient care.
• Experience in crisis management and behavioral health interventions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mental health care delivery with Health Services Administrator and Mental Health Director.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up appointments; develop and implement treatment plans.
• Provide education to patients about treatment and ensure comprehension.
• Manage crisis situations with risk assessments and appropriate level of care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with other clinicians.
