Job summary

Greystar seeks an Assistant Superintendent for a student housing construction site at Ole Miss in Oxford, MS. The role supports on-time, on-budget project completion by coordinating construction, manpower, finances, safety and reporting activities.

You will review blueprints, monitor safety, coordinate with contractors and track progress while assisting budgeting and scheduling. This entry-level position offers hands-on campus project exposure and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Internship or field experience in construction.
• Strong organizational, time management and project management skills.
• Effective communication with owners, architects, subcontractors and leaders.
• Self-starter capable of working with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development and new construction activities by reviewing blueprints, inspecting work and overseeing contractors to ensure safety and schedule.
• Assist with project budgeting: review invoices, analyze spending and report needs.
• Monitor timetable and delays, propose solutions to keep on time and within budget.
• Track site progress, ensure safety and plan adherence, adjust staffing as needed.
• Prepare reports and communicate project updates to business leaders.
• May help assemble onsite construction team and manage contractor performance.
