Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator for a Jeffersonville construction site. The Safety Coordinator will implement and enforce the safety program under EHS leadership and coordinate with the GC to ensure OSHA compliance and site safety plans.

Responsibilities include daily safety inspections, hazard identification and mitigation, and conducting safety orientations and trainings. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 2–5 years of construction safety experience, with

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
2–5 years construction safety experience.
OSHA 510 or 511 or equivalent training preferred.
Ability to enforce safety requirements in the field.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily safety inspections of work areas, equipment, and operations.
Identify, correct, and document hazards related to fall protection and elevated work.
Immediately address unsafe conditions.
Coordinate hazard mitigation with the EHS Manager and GC safety team.
Enforce compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and site safety plans.
Assist with safety orientations and toolbox talks.
Maintain training and inspection records.
Stop work when unsafe conditions or behaviors are observed.
Escalate hazards to GC safety management as needed.
