Job summary

Gilbane is seeking a Project Manager II to serve as the on-site manager, responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a medium-sized construction project.

You are a coach and leader who drives safety, quality, and timely delivery, coordinating with subcontractors and design teams. A Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or Construction Management and 5–10 years of PM experience are required, with strong communication and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 5–10 years of project management experience
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Contributes to development of project safety plan
• Contributes to development of project controls and procedures; develops risk mitigation processes
• Establishes and monitors change management process and project financial forecast
• Creates project-specific quality plan aligned with owner contract and documents
• Creates and manages a closeout plan in alignment with contract documents
• Provides leadership to motivate the project team and supervise core staff
• Trains direct reports on processes, procedures, and tasks
• Contributes to subcontracting strategy and write scopes
• Implements contracts and purchase orders
• Participates in enrollment for insurance and bonds; tracks contractor compliance
• Supports estimates of select bid packages and GMP preparation
• Performs constructability and coordination reviews
• Creates CPM schedule and monthly updates
• Develops understanding of local market areas for networking
• Collaborates with BD to align with sales strategies and client deliverables
• Manages workload and performance of direct reports
• Fosters an inclusive work environment
• Aids in communicating company strategy to the team
